Word of the Day : Sacrifice

Oct 16, 2021 | Words of Wisdom

SACRIFICE – to suffer loss of, give up, renounce, injure, or destroy especially for an ideal, belief, or end; something given up or lost

We are drawn to stories of sacrifice because we know we need to be rescued. It’s perfectly okay to admit that we can’t save ourselves; Jesus’ offer of salvation is open to anyone who’s willing to follow Him.

Scripture: John 15:13

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Saying:

“I think that the good and the great are only separated by the willingness to sacrifice.”
