REPENT – to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one’s life
The act of repentance can be scary or intimidating. Fortunately, it doesn’t always require an emotional, tear-filled outcry — it is simply a desire on your part to change. Keep in mind that since God isn’t moved by tears unless He has full access to your heart, you must first desire this change deep within your heart.
Scripture: Acts 3:19
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
Saying:
“Repentance is a grace, and must have its daily operation, as well as other graces. A true penitent must go on from faith to faith, from strength to strength; he must never stand still or turn back. True repentance is a continued spring, where the waters of godly sorrow are always flowing. ‘My sin is ever before me’.”
