Listening is one of the keys to communication. To be a great parent, to inspire others, and to simply make a difference in the world, listening is an essential skill to have. A lot of people are great at talking but fall short when it’s time to hear the thoughts and feelings of someone else. This skill comes naturally to very few people, so it takes conscious effort to improve on it.
Scripture : James 1:19
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”
Saying:
“We have two ears and one mouth so we can listen twice as much as we speak.”
–Epictetus
